Fall Favorites: Playlist

I love Fall!

But, how is it possible that it's still super hot outside and the beautiful colors in the mountains are already close to gone?

Not Fair.

I've had to kind of make it feel like fall in other ways on my own since the weather isn't quite cooperating yet.

I'll be doing a few different "Fall Favorites" posts and this one is my playlist that Oaklyn and I have on repeat ;)

She prefers pretty and calm over loud and crazy, so here are some of our favorites.

 

Some are old, some are newer but they have all been Oaklyn approved ;)

I love that she's starting to recognize some of these songs!

If I turn on Stitches she looks at me with a huge smile and starts dancing.

It's the cutest and I love her SO much!

Have I mentioned lately that this age is my favorite age yet?

Because it really really is :)

Imagine Dragons.

In the beginning of March... (March 1st to be exact) around 11:50 pm I was laying in bed unable to fall asleep.

But what's new...

I'm looking at my phone (because that always makes you fall asleep instead of stay up later right?) and saw that Imagine Dragons tickets went on sale.

For their concert in SAN DIEGO!

WHAT??

So I jump out of bed and run into Audrey dear's room.

She just heard the news too, and at that moment we anxiously purchased tickets.

5 minutes later, it was her birthday :)

So June 1st was the night of the concert.

And, it was unbelievable.

I already knew I loved them, but this concert brought them to a whole new level.

Wow.

They can sure put on a show.

I had chills all throughout Radioactive

The crowd was crazy.

It was outside on a gorgeous summer evening.

I may have even shed a few happy tears :)

On Repeat

Most of the time, music gets me through my days.

It keeps me calm, it makes me happy, it pumps me up, it comforts me, it helps me feel close to my love, it sparks creative thoughts, it gives me a moment to reminisce, it keeps me hopeful, it makes life a little more entertaining, it gives me something to relate to, It helps me organize my thoughts, and it gives me a chance to sing my heart out. 

Music is good for the soul, so turn it up.

I listen to just about every genre there ever was... and here are the top ten as of this week.

On the First Day of Christmas

Yeah I get it, it's technically not the first day of Christmas...

For ABC family it is though!

Here's to Christmas movies every single night! :)

I can't help but feel extremely giddy and happy!

I just want to make hot chocolate and Christmas cookies, and watch the Polar Express all day long!

But I have other things to do. 

Now nobody can nag me for wearing my Christmas socks and singing holly jolly tunes throughout the day.

I have had Hunter's package done since the middle of November but have tried my hardest not to put it together yet, now I can! :)

I LOVE Christmas cards.

It is so much fun to see everyone's creativity and their little families get together.

I got extremely jealous this year that its not quite my turn to send out a Christmas card.

So, I just played around and made one anyways

No, I'm not sending it to anyone... obviously

But lucky for all my blog readers, you get to see :)

I'm actually quite proud :)

So happy first day of December and last month of 2012! :)

Just when I think there is no possible way Taylor can top Speak Now...

She does it again! 

Lucky for me living in California, the album came out at 9 instead of midnight on itunes!

It has been on repeat every single day. I can just picture her on stage now.

I dream big.

Every single song is beautiful, but ya know how there are always just a few songs that completely speak to you? The ones that you can relate to and you think she definitely wrote that song for only you?

As for me, those songs are STAY STAY STAYand STARLIGHT

When I see your face, but it was only just a dream.

Have you seen Pitch Perfect?

I did last night with my dear friend Audrey. 

We were both definitely fans.

It was a bit vulgar I must admit, but in all honesty I haven't laughed that hard in a movie in quite a while.

The music was seriously amazing.

I can't believe the arrangements they did with such updated songs.

The acting was, well, a bit mediocre but still entertaining.

Fat Amy said it best with "You all have skinny bodies, but I believe you all have fat hearts and that's what really matters"

Both of those songs completely remind me of homecoming my junior year.

Josh and Anthony were Hunter and I's little chauffeurs for the night.

We weren't aloud to touch the doors because they had to open them for us.

Josh made a little mix CD and both these songs were on it.

Josh and Anthony choreographed a little number to Just a Dream that kept Hunter and I laughing each time the song came on. 

Then Hunter sang Just the Way You Are to me, which melted my heart.

Crazy how music can flood your mind with crystal clear memories.

Such fun times :)

You throw your head back laughing like a little kid.

Two incredibly happy things occurred as of last night.

I feel that I must share my excitement with the blog world.

1) Taylor Swift released yet another single off of her new album and once again I am obsessed.

It may have been playing on repeat for at least half an hour last night

The lyrics may have been opened up on another tab as well

I must be prepared to sing along to every song at her concert right?

If only...

2) Elder Hunter Miles Moore sent home a picture! YAY!!

Anddd this one wasn't blurry!

Can I get a Hallelujah! 

He is so attractive.

Sorry. It's the truth.

Oh and I am so delighted that he is wearing the tie that I just sent him, success :)

On another note, I was fully imersed in Christmas fever last night. (if that song doesn't put you in the spirit I don't know what will)

It hit me full throttle. 

And its not even October yet. 

Not to mention its also scorching hot. 

Looks like its time to break out my Polar Express movie to satisfy my craving.

Oh and just one last thing.

So I guess it was more than two things...

Every little thing is gonna be alright.

I love this song. A lot. It makes me feel happy, and ready for a new day. It has a catchy little beat, and their voices are awesome, I haven't even really listened to the words ha.

I have SO much to blog about, so much to get off my chest. I promise I will but I have so many pictures  to upload, as well as so many thoughts to organize. It will be coming within the next week or so.( haha how many times did I just say "so")

 Anyways, I'm doing good! I'm happy, I know I am where I should be. Despite all the troubles, I really am oh so happy. I know there is a very bright future within reach for me, it's just getting there that has been quite the struggle thus far. As of now, I am halfway there! What does that mean? Well, I made an extremely important decision in my life last Thursday. My first real big girl decision. I know without a doubt it was the right one. So stay tuned, I'll be rambling on about it very soon :)
