The Third Month

Our little Oaklyn baby is three months old! And I can hardly believe it!

Based off our own attempts to get her stats this month, were thinking she's somewhere around 25 or 26 inches and around 14 pounds! 

She's growing everyday! 

She's perfect, like seriously she's the cutest little thing with the biggest personality. 

She has stolen my heart, Hunter's, and everyone else's that has met her. 

When it comes to milestones, this month takes the cake. 

I can't believe how much she has grown and changed!

Where did my teeny newborn go?

This past week I looked at her and realized just how much she has grown. 

She suddenly looked so big, and so "grown up"

The three month clothes that looked so big are now fitting her perfectly. In fact, they probably won't 

be fitting her very much longer! 

She isn't dainty, at all haha. She woke up from a nap at church and let all of relief society know that she was gassy. Really gassy. I was crying I was laughing so hard. 

She figured out how to throw a baby tantrum. And she's good at it! 

She only wakes up once in the night now... Crossing my fingers I don't jinx that. 

She's SO alert and active. It's hilarious. She never stops moving, smiling, and talking. Seriously, she is so much fun. 

She's the queen of power sleeping. Aka cat naps. It kinda drives me nuts. But she's cute and fun so I'll let it slide. 

We discovered that clips look adorable in her hair. 

She caught her first cold, from me :( it was so sad. She also woke up just about every hour out of discomfort. We're getting over that cold now. Thank goodness! 

Her rolls are getting bigger! She's still tall and skinny but she's definitely chunking up! 

I'm still pumping and even though I dislike it, I don't completely hate it as much as I used to. I'll still be happy when I decide to be done. 

She found her fingers and practically sucks them off her hand. It's adorable, until she sticks her fingers too far back and gags herself. Then she gets mad at me like "mom, why did you let that happen?" 

Naps are a struggle and yet she needs them desperately. She fights them like crazy but when she hits that brick wall nothing but falling asleep calms her down. Except that she doesn't just fall asleep. She has to be viciously rocked. Any suggestions on this matter will be greatly appreciated. 

Hunter and I say "she's the cutest baby in the world" like 100 times daily.

 We can't get enough of her. 

She had her first trip to Disneyland already! She even went on a few rides! I may have cried as she slept on me during the Ariel ride. I'm so glad I get to watch her experience everything in life. 

We took our first road trip with her to San Diego and She got to meet so many family members and friends. They are just as smitten by her as we are. 

I haven't really talked about the fact that I got baby blues pretty bad right as she was born except with family, (which deserves a post of its own later) but I can honestly say now that having her is the best decision I have ever made. 

And, I'm so thankful that those hormones have died down quite a bit. 

Having a little baby is a lot of work. It's definitely not glamorous either.

Spit up on your shirts no matter how many times you change, blown out diapers, and getting sneezed on are daily occurrences.

But, it's worth it.

Because her smile is the cutest thing I have ever seen and her milestones make me so so proud!

Oaklyn baby, you are my greatest blessing, treasure, and accomplishment.

I can't wait to go through everything else life offers with you :)
