Today is where your book begins.

Well hello there :) I decided a while ago that when I turned eighteen, I would create a blog. So what better day than on my actual birthday. I figure that when I become an adult and graduate high school, life would get more interesting and I would want to document all of the happenings I encounter. Wanna hear a little about myself? Well if you don't, now is the time to hit the little "X" at the top of your page because I feel that an intro is necessary. My name is Aleigh Joy Mellinger. Yep, my first name is spelled kinda funny but I promise it's pronounced Alley. When I was little I hated the first day of school, how my name was never on the cool little souvenirs, that even my friends had to have a reminder on how to spell my name, yeah it was a tough life. However, I have found that my name is unique and symbolic of who I am. Who cares if all the people that stare at my name tag at work with a puzzled facial expression think that my parents must have been on something when they named me, I like it because it is me. That being said, my middle name is the main reason I titled this blog, "For the Joy of life". My dad has always said that my life brought so much joy into his and that is the reasoning behind my middle name, yes typing that gets me a little teary eyed. I want to find the joy in my life, everywhere I turn. Those simple joys will be posted here, where I can reminisce, be thankful, and maybe even brag (just a little). Life is so happy, there are so many reasons to smile.

 I am a cheerleader, or I guess was, now that high school is almost over. I work at Jamba Juice and I bet the walls are brighter there than anywhere you have ever worked. Yes, I take pride in that. I am the middle child of a family of five. I was born in Denver, Colorado but continued my days of growing up in sunny California. Now I felt that was appropriate, but I'm boring myself so I think I will leave it at that. Now go out and do more of what makes you happy! :) Well there you have it friends, the rest is still unwritten...
